Stop telling kids "If you lie, you'll go to hell."

Tell them about the realistic consequences of lying— Liars are rarely consistent, lying is like digging a pit: the more you lie, the deeper you're dug in.

Alas, most kids can't fathom what "realistic consequences" even means. Therefore, it is much easier to sell fear than teach truth.
