A psychological or philosophical disposition where an individual or group genuinely believes they are guided, favored, or chosen by a divine force (theion = divine in Greek). This belief often fuels boldness, conviction, and extraordinary action—justified internally as being part of a “higher mission.”

It’s not always delusional or arrogant—sometimes it results in remarkable leadership, resilience, or creativity. But it can also lead to unchecked behavior, justified through “divine support.”

Think:
- Alexander the Great — believed he was descended from gods.
- Joan of Arc — claimed divine visions guided her.
- Certain cult leaders or revolutionaries — act on belief of spiritual mandate.

The Theion Complex is like: “If God’s with me, who can be against me?”—taken to an intense personal level.
